This tea specialty originated from the mountainous regions of the Fujian province in China. However white tea is now also grown in other regions such as Darjeeling and Nepal. Only the youngest and finest tea leaves are used to produce this superb specialty since they are the only leaves that have tender hairs on the underside which turn into silvery-white fluff when dried. These special leaves are carefully handpicked and gently processed-they are simply wilted and dried, never heated or rolled.

This rare tea is produced from select tea buds harvested in spring and carefully hand rolled into small pearls. Exhibiting good colour and depth with a fresh, sweet after taste. Antioxidant rich and very low caffeine content.
2 to 3 pearls per 200mls of hot water at 70degC allowing room for the buds to unfurl. Infuse up to 6 mins then pour off liquid and infuse again. Up to three infusions are recommended. Each infusion will exhibit its own unique characteristics. Using a small glass teapot or cup is recommended.SizeQuantity
